-These are my initial sketch ideas that I created using different images I was given, I then developed on the image and created my own idea for a robot using my imagination. I also created a robot idea from a car steering wheel I was given.

-These are my silhouettes that I designed myself on Photoshop. when creating these silhouettes I used already existing robots as inspiration  but changed them up slightly for my silhouettes like R2-D2 for example or WALL-E.

R2-D2 (Star Wars)

R2-D2 is an independent robot that controls its self and can do actions by its self as well without other people controlling it. This robot will be used in his home world of Naboo and Nubia and also on spaces crafts as well. R2-D2 was created in 33 BBY and we need this robot because he is an assistant and supports Jedi’s’ like; Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Padme Amidala and Obi-Wan-Kenobi.

C-3PO (Star Wars)

The primary function of C-3PO is to act as an assistant and support Jedi’s in Star Wars. C-3PO is a self-programmed independent robot that controls its self and is not controlled by a person/Jedi. This robot will be used in its homeland of Tatooine and on spacecraft’s as well. C-3PO was built in 112 BBY, Affa and we need this robot because it acts as an assistant to the Jedi’s.

Terminator (The Terminator)

Terminators function is to terminate people who have been assigned to him. The terminator will use this robot as the terminator is the robot but covered in artificial human skin to disguise him as a normal human. This robot will be used in threatened situations or for when the robot terminates one of his targets. This robot was built in 1985. We need this terminator to terminated targets discreetly as they are disguised as a human. This robot was built to mimic human activity so it acts like a normal human and is disguised as one but is then given targets to terminate and stops everything and everyone that get in the way or tries to stop him.

WALL-E (WALL.E)

WALL-E is another independent robot that controls its self and is not being controlled by another person. This robot will be used in Earth as this is where the robot was created. WALL-E was built in the year of 2110 and was built from scrap metal. We need this robot because he was built to clean up the earth after the toxicity levels were too high for human life. This robot works by cleaning up the Earth and trying to get it back to normal being one of the only robots left on Earth.

AT-ST (Star Wars)

The AT-ST is used for defence if an area is under attack or also for troop support, it can also be used for transport as well. This can be used to stop and shoot at enemies when in war and transport gods over vast amount of areas. It will take 2 people to operate this robot and there needs to be a gunner and a pilot. This robot will be used when in battle for defence and troop support. There is no date for when this robot was built. We need this robot for support if battles aren’t going as planned. This robot works by being higher than ground level which means having an advantage over the other troops and shooting enemies.

5 Robots from Games:

AT-AT (Star Wars)

The AT-AT has many functions some of them are, mechanized infantry, self-propelled artillery and also troop transport as the AT-AT can fit 40 troops or more. The AT-AT will be used to cover vast amount of areas to transport troops, it can also be used in battle as it has self-propelled artillery. There is no date for when this robot was built. We need this robot because it will be easier to transport goods and troops because of the thick armour covering the AT-AT. This robot works by using its thick armour to protect the internal of the robot and the people and content within the robot and can kill anything that becomes a threat or a danger to the robot.

Titan (Titanfall)

 The function for a titan is for robotic armour for protecting the pilot within the robot controlling it. This robot will be used by infantry personnel only as they need to pilot this robot to control it. This robot will be used during infantry combat only when there is a threat or another titan on the battlefield. There is no date for when this robot was built. We need this robot for extra protection against other infantry and other titans as these acts like a robotic amour for the pilot controlling the robot. This robot works by fighting against other infantry and other titans that become a threat to the pilot controlling the titan by using the mounted built into the robot.

Claptrap (Borderlands)

The primary function of Claptrap is to serve the protagonist throughout the borderlands series. The robot controls its self independently and no one uses this robot because it’s independent. This robot will be used in the borderlands wasteland and there is no date on when claptrap was built. We need this robot to serve because he serves the protagonist throughout the borderlands series and is also a playable character in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. This robot works by traveling through the wasteland on his dirt wheel.

Nanosuit (Crysis Series)

The function of the Nanosuit is that its acts like a robotic armour that gives the personnel powers the use them for them for their advantage against enemy infantry. The person who the Nanosuit is fitted for will use this robotic armour as they are made for made specifically for certain people. This Nanosuit will be used in infantry combat for protect the person using it by using its powers like invisibility and increased amour. There is no year of when the Nanosuit was built. We need this robotic armour to protect the personnel inside and fight against other infantry and aliens that are a threat using its abilities for their advantage. This robotic armour works by connecting to the personnel’s body and using energy to feed and Nanosuit as this is what the Nanosuit needs to power it and to use the abilities.

Android (Alien: Isolation)

The function of androids is to mimic human life aboard space life across galaxies. Space pilots will use these robots to do jobs that need doing around the spaceship. These robot androids will be used in spaceships across galaxies for human work.  The android robot was first built in 2030. We need this robot to complete work that needs to be done when no one else can do it as these robots can mimic human life on a space craft. This robot works by being created to mimic human life and to act like a human and to do everyday tasks and work like humans do.

Robotics In Reality

Avatar Robotics

The function of Avatar robotics is to act like a real life patient and to exhibit realistic facial expressions like humans. The advantages of this is that they can mimic real life humans and can treat them to see the outcome of what would happen if they were human and what there expressions would be like and how they would act towards it. Another advantage of this is that it would decrease the amount of errors made on real patients as they would be tested on first using these avatar robotics. However some disadvantages of this would be that the avatar robotics could fail to respond which could fails tests, also some avatar robots could respond incorrectly to human behaviour of they could have completely different expressions to human expressions.

Exo-skeletons

An Exo-Skeleton is a robotic limb that’s act like the skeleton in your body. This can be used for rehabilitation of disables people and can help people learn to walk again if they are paralysed for example. The advantages of this would be that they help people with disabilities learn how to use and move their limbs again and make them functional. A disadvantage of this would be that there could be a possibility that this could fail to work and won’t be of help to some people trying to use disabled or paralysed limbs.

Construction Robots

The function of construction robots is that they have been integrated to handle insulation for packaging applications. Construction robots can also be used for work like constructing cars and building or putting together items. And advantage of this would be that they can get work done faster than humans and without complications, construction robots can also work 24/7 without breaks whereas humans have to have break. A disadvantage of this would be that sometimes the machines would fail to operate or some machinery could break leaving the machinery unusable. #

-This is my robots in reality work that I had to research different robots in reality like Avatar robots and construction robots for example. this gives an idea of how robots are used in the real world.
